We visited the South of France and the South of Spain while visiting Europe in 2005 and had a wonderful time on the beaches.  I met a guy in Barcelona who owns a Yuma Tow Truck company that was celebrating his 20th wedding anniversary.

Santa Margherita is a popular town for tourists who are visiting the Mediterranean in the summer.  It sits on the Italian Riviera and features a cove for sunbathers and a large pebbled beach.  It is definitely one of the most popular and beautiful beaches around.

Lagos, Portugal

European travelers love the Meia Praia beach in Portugal because of its size and its cleanliness. Due to its enormous size, its also a local favorite because the locals can grab a small piece of real estate and not worry about the beach being taken over by all the vacationers.

Marbella, Spain

Marbella is known as a party destination. It has been known to be a popular spot for traveling celebrities.  It also features beaches that are line with palm trees, Florida like.

Mykonos, Greece

Bairritz hosts lots of surfers in the summer and is also knows to attract rich clientele throughout the year visiting the local casino Barriere.
